Protective Services Program at Blair Senior Services, Inc.
The Protective Services Program helps people age 60 and older who may be at risk for abuse, neglect, exploitation or abandonment. A Protective Services worker will meet with the consumer to investigate the allegations and develop a care plan with the consumer to reduce the risk. The majority of the Protective Services cases are self-neglect and they have also seen an increase in financial exploitation cases. Older adults can be victimized by scams or by a Power of Attorney misusing their money. Protective Services workers investigate all forms of elder abuse whether it occurs in the community or in a long term care facility.
